please make sure you read the pinned comment at the top of the comment section as well regarding mascara wand bacteria! It's an important one and I hope everyone sees it!

Enjoy!

I just posted an updated zero waste hair care routine video on my youtube channel! It feels SO nice to finally have a plastic-free vegan and simple hair care routine that actually works for me! In this video I share everything I've been using for the last few months, including a super hydrating conditioner and products that work well for curly and wavy hair!

As well as how I use each product/in which order, how I style my hair, and my favourite natural (and easy and free) growth tips/tricks if you're looking to grow your hair out!

Enjoy!

I posted this video to youtube a few months ago but thought I'd add it into here as well!

There are certainly a few flaws in the products I'm using... but aren't there flaws in most products anyways? What works for me, definitely might not work for you! I'm still testing out various conditioners but I think the bar "recipe" I featured here can be used for any bar you find (pending adding a lil bit of a preservative if your bar has less chemicals than my Lush jungle bar). There's a few notes about mold, why I choose to support Lush, and if the products are okay for damaged hair/telogen effluvium/hair loss in the video's highlighted comment HERE (scroll down, it should be the top comment).

Enjoy!

ingredients:

○ 1 tbsp bentonite clay (some places offer bulk!)

BC zero waste tip:

〰 Some companies may sell raw ingredients in glass jars, depending on where you live-- keep a look out!

○ 1 tbsp activated charcoal

AC zero waste tip:

〰 May use veggie capsules--- Simply de-capsule the powder. Easier to find in glass packaging if you do not have a bulk herbalist store nearby and are going for as minimal waste as possible!

〰  Additionally some companies may sell raw ingredients in glass jars, depending on where you live-- keep a look out!

○ 2 tbsp coconut oil

○ 1 tbsp baking soda

Ingredients Used ::

 ○ 4 oz Dr Bronner's Tea Tree Oil pure castile liquid soap

 ○ 4 oz vegetable glycerine

 ○ approx. 1.5-2tsp Dried Aloe Vera (you can use gel if you would like. Keep in mind fresh aloe gel needs to be kept in the fridge and lasts for 7ish days.. which is why I used dry)

 ○ approx. 1.5-2tsp Shikakai powder

 ○ approx. 1.5-2tsp Nettle (or 1 bag nettle tea)

 ○ 10oz boiling water

 ○ a 16oz container/bottle (or anything you can find will do... my bottle is identical to my empty bottle of Inner-Ēco probiotics (found at WholeFoods). Simply remove the label from an old bottle laying around the house! Recycling at it's best!)

Where to Find Ingredients ::

 ○ Shikakai

 ○ Amazon :: http://amzn.to/2DqLtGl

 ○ Zero Waste :: try looking in bulk bins (I have not found) or looking in stores...

Hello my hunnies

I've been keeping an eye out for some sustainable brands, particularly brands who specialize in the things I'd rather not thrift and buy previously used. I figured I'd share some of my findings! I will be adding to this list regularly when I find new groovy brands & online shops. If there is a brand you'd like to recommend and have me add to the list, just shoot me an email (sedonachristina@gmail.com) or comment below!
