self care

September 11, 2019

A few months ago, I chatted about my weekly and monthly bullet journal set up, in this youtube video. I decided to make a printable version of my weekly setup for anyone who would prefer to use it digitally or print it out each week, without needing to make their own spread. You can find the download on my Patreon, here.

Hope this helps ya feel more organized this fall! xo

a new little self care podcast is up on my patreon! All about learning how worthy you are of success and identifying where the blocks in your productivity came from. Click the photo below to listen! Or click HERE.

For more about the intentional assembly community and more episodes, see the page here. They're essentially exclusive self care podcasts (similar to my original podcast titled "dirty hippies," (before I started the Into Intentional podcast in 2018) that simultaneously help you and help support my youtube channel!)

My simple minimal bullet journal monthly & weekly setup is up now on my youtube channel! Click the image below to watch it!

Hope ya enjoy and get a bit of productive inspo from it! Bullet journaling totally revolutionized my work. I notice such a HUGE difference in my productivity when I'm not using it. About 3 weeks ago, I got a little lazy and didn't use it as much as I have been since I started using it last year and OH BOY, I was still productive (as I had a lot going on) but I definitely felt more frazzled than normal and I would have gotten a lot more done on top of what I accomplished. I certainly learned my lesson and won't avoid my Sunday planning ritual again!

Admittedly, I've never been much of a reader and I definitely don't have a reading habit but I've been trying to piece one together. I've been trying to establish a sleep routine for the last month or so and it's opened up the world of "night routines" to me so I'm using it as the perfect opportunity to squeeze some reading time in there. Here are some of the books i've picked up recently and can't wait to get page flipping this summer!

. . . . .

○ The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck ::

To be honest, this book wasn't necessarily my pick. Last year I tried to get a book club going and I fell off the wagon. This one was voted on by all the wonderful humans who wanted to join in. I had picked up a copy and I'm excited to jump into it!

(find it: amazon)

○ How Not to Die ::

Are you sick and tired of...

Ever since I first started posting on youtube, I’ve had this weird anxious feeling. A feeling that I can’t quite put my finger on. It’s not like most “anxious” feelings but that’s the category I’d put it in. It’s almost a mash up of pressure and worry mixed into one. But in a weird way. It’s something I’ve never been able to decipher, but what I do know is that it’s not good.

And more often than not, it has me questioning whether this is the career path that I’m supposed to be going down.

If it's what I was meant to do with my time.

If all of this is a lie.

If maybe I don’t really enjoy it that much because the pressure just isn't worth it.

(but I’ll come back to that in a second)

It’s this feeling of feeling pressured to create epic videos.

Ones that help others, that entertain others, and that...

. . . .

There's this line that you can find every single "self help guru" or motivational speaker say at some point,

"Stop waiting for things to be perfect. They're never going to be perfect. Start now."

It's a quote I've kept with me for years.

Because it's so true.

If you get caught up in your mind— you never get anywhere.

Start with what you have.

Start now.

Stop waiting to discover perfection.

To magically discover a contrived falsehood.

Baby steps will get you to where you're capable of being. To where you're destined to be.

And it will be perfect exactly the way it plays out.

THAT is what perfection is.

Perfection is,

Stepping back and allowing it to be.

To stop judging your life.

You have to respect your life if you expect it to respect you back.
